How to Claim Tax Back on Your Disneyland Paris Shopping with SkipTax

If you're travelling to Disneyland Paris from the UK or another country outside the EU, there's an easy way to save money on your Disney shopping by claiming back the VAT on eligible purchases.

The process is surprisingly straightforward, especially if you use the SkipTax app.

Step 1: Download SkipTax Before You Travel

Before your trip, download the SkipTax app and create your account. This only takes a few minutes and means you're ready to upload receipts while you're in France.

Step 2: Keep Your Shopping Receipts

As you buy souvenirs and other eligible merchandise, upload each receipt to the app.

Remember:

You need to spend at least €100 on eligible purchases.
The qualifying amount can usually be made up of multiple receipts.
Merchandise is generally eligible, while food, drinks and park tickets are not.

Step 3: Keep Everything Together

Don't throw away your receipts and leave the tags attached to your purchases until you've completed the refund process. Customs may ask to see your items before validating your claim.

Step 4: Validate Before Leaving France

If you're travelling home via Le Shuttle or another departure point with a PABLO tax refund kiosk:

Open the SkipTax app.
Generate your barcode.
Scan it at the kiosk.
Wait for the green tick confirming your refund has been validated.

Once that's done, SkipTax processes your refund and you simply wait for the payment to arrive.

How Much Could You Save?

As an example, if you spend €578.20 on eligible Disneyland Paris merchandise, your estimated refund could be around €77.10.
